Description
Cultivating Compassion: Understanding Ourselves A six-week evidence-based Compassionate Mind Training programme. Starts Tuesday 6th October 2026 1.00pm–2.30pm Have you ever wondered why your mind reacts the way it does? Why we overthink, worry, become self-critical or get caught in difficult emotions? This six-week, evidence-based course helps you understand why this happens and offers practical skills to help you respond with greater compassion, confidence and understanding. Through guided compassion practices, practical teaching and reflection, you'll gain a deeper understanding of how your brain, body and emotions work together. You'll learn ways to support your nervous system, develop a more supportive inner voice, strengthen your relationships through compassionate communication, and discover practical approaches to working more skilfully with worry, self-criticism and difficult emotions in everyday life. Suitable for all adults. This course has been developed by Professor Frances Maratos, a chartered psychologist and leading expert in compassion and wellbeing.
